donateYou can help make a difference by helping Henderson Hills collect school supplies for Edmond students! Below is a list of volunteer positions:

 

Collection

Collection Volunteers (10-20 people)
July 3rd - August 1st

We need people who will commit to pick up supplies daily at these locations: Transformation Fitness Center, HHBC offices and HHBC Gathering. After collecting the supplies, they will need to be transported to the basement of the HHBC offices where we are sorting the supplies.

 

Sorting

Sorting Volunteers (30-40 people)
July 13th, 20th and 27th

Volunteers are needed to help sort and box all the supplies that have been collected. We will also be keeping a running inventory of all supplies collected to help us know what supplies we need to purchase for the Store distribution. 

 

Distribution

Activities Volunteers (25-35 people)

August 11th

These people will work with the Activities Coordinator to plan and provide a time of fun for children grades K-5th on the distribution night.

 

Greeter Volunteers (60-70 people)
August 11th

Greeters are needed for these locations: I-35 Frontage Rd, 15th Street, parking lots, Gathering and Preschool doors. These people will offer a welcome and instructions for those coming to the distribution night.

 

Registration Volunteers (5-10 people)

August 11th

People working the registration table will be responsible for welcoming those coming, getting registration information from the parents of the children seeking supplies, providing a list of supplies needed to the 'Guide', handing off the child and parents to the 'Guide' to go to the store.

 

Guides (125 people)

August 11th

Guides are responsible for leading the parents and children through the 'School Supply Store'. They will ensure that all the supplies needed in correct amounts are obtained for each child. They are encouraged to build relationships with the parents and children helping them to feel comfortable and answering or giving any information about Henderson Hills. This is a CRUCIAL position. We need people who love children and their parents! They will remain with the parents and children until all supplies are obtained. If you are bilingual, we REALLY need your help.

 

Food Volunteer (20-30 people)

August 11th

Food volunteers will work with the Food Coordinator to provide food for all those attending the distribution night.

 

Store

Store Setup/Decorations (15-20 people)

August 8th-10th

These volunteers will be in charge of setting up and decorating the store for distribution night.

 

Store Volunteers (70-80 people)

August 11th

These volunteers will work with the Store Coordinator to distribute all the school supplies.

 

Prayer Volunteers (20-50 people)

Date to be announced

These volunteers will pray over the School Supply Event on a prayer walk. This will take place one evening during the week of the event at our HHBC facility. Each participant will be given a sheet that will serve as a guide with all of the prayer needs and walk though the facility praying for the School Supply evening.

 

Adopt-A-Student Distribution Volunteers (20-30 people)

August 9th

These volunteers will help at Apple Village and Vista Trailer Parks (one or two that have pickups would be helpful).

 

Distribution Hauling Large Quantity Supplies (10-15 people)

August 8th

We need volunteers that will haul supplies when special orders of large quantities are placed. We also need volunteers that will haul supplies from the Church Office Basement to the Activity Center on Sunday, August 8th. Need a truck or strong back!

 

Leftover Distribution Volunteers (20-30 people)

August 12th-13th

Once the School Supply Drive Event is over, we need volunteers that will help distribute the leftover school items to schools and teachers. These volunteers would be utilized during the following times.
